Race #1: Blizzard Castle - Rampart Road
I try to get all the paths in the race. I managed well. However me crashing majorly that first jump didn't help that much. It's not catch-up time which I do in a short amount of time. I then keep first the rest of the race.

Race #2: Final Fortress - Dark Arsenal
I pretty much kept first throughout the whole race. I'm suprised I didn't fail in the most horrific way or anything like that. xD But there's still two more races in the Egg Cup. Maybe I might keep doing well...

Nintendo Wii Fit Review

I don’t know anything about video games. I had never used a Wii (pronounced "we" or "wee!" depending how excitable you are) before borrowing one to test out Nintendo’s new Wii Fit system, which has four training modes: strength, aerobics, balance, and yoga. The buzz about a new yoga video game started about a year before the Wii Fit’s release in spring 2008, so I was curious to see how this unlikely pairing had worked out. My (self-imposed) mission was to discover if the Wii is providing accurate yoga information and if the yoga program would make a useful addition to a home practice.
Wait, What's a Wii?
For those who haven’t paid much attention to video games since playing Ms. Pac-Man at the pizza parlor in 1986 (that would be me), let’s take a quick look at the Wii. This gaming system is innovative in its use of motion sensors, which allow the players on screen to be controlled by your movements. Let’s say you are playing Wii tennis, as my husband and I did after getting the system hooked up (quite easy, even on our ancient TV). Your Wii avatar (called your Mii) plays tennis on the screen as you control her movements by swinging your arms as if you were holding a tennis racket, but instead you’re holding a wireless remote. Be sure to mark off some time on your calender to customize your Mii by choosing hairstyles, eyeglasses, beauty marks, and mustaches before being presented with a darling anime version of yourself. The Wii Fit is intended to use the interactive capabilites of the system to focus on physical fitness. The set-up includes a 11 x 19 inch Balance Board for you to stand on. The Balance Board senses your center of gravity (as well as your weight) by measuring how much pressure you are putting on each foot. In your first session, the Wii determines your Body Mass Index and makes a recommendation for your ideal weight based on your height. After a balance test, the Wii delivers some bad news: your Wii Fit age. I would like to say that I am not quite 43, not any more than my husband is 29. I determined the Wii Fit age to be bunk (my husband disagrees).

For the yoga sessions, you pick a trainer (male or female) to work with. The trainer demonstrates the poses and then you do them together. The poses are typically held for 30 to 40 seconds. After you do each pose, you are given a score based on how the Balance Board has measured your success in the pose -- either holding your center of gravity or applying appropriate pressure with your hands or feet. The score is then ranked and compared to other players on your system, introducing a competitive edge to the proceedings. What with the constant scoring, the encouragement and advice of the trainer, and the navigating of menus, it took me about an hour to get 30 minutes of exercise.

Like all yoga done without a teacher present (such as videos), you will be in much better shape if you already know what you are doing. The Wii trainer generally provides pretty good advice, but a few poses she instructs completely incorrectly. Warrior II is one such pose: The knee of your front leg should never come in front of the ankle in this pose, but this is exactly how the trainer demonstrates it. Her alignment is also off in shoulderstand, where the hips should be directly over the shoulders. I also object to the way downward facing dog is instructed. This pose is done with the hands on the Balance Board, and I was repeated scolded for not having enough weight in my arms. In down dog, most of the weight should be in the legs, not an equal distribution as instructed here. When I achieved the degree of arm pressure the trainer approved of, I was practically in a plank position, with the hips way too far forward for a downward facing dog. Alignment is also compromised by the fact that the Balance Board is about two inches high, making poses where one foot is on the board and the other off (like warrior II) and poses where the hands are on but the feet off (like downward dog) feel a bit awkward.

In the yoga area, you are only given a few postures to begin with. You must then earn access to more poses by spending more time using the Wii Fit, which is a pain if you intend to use the system primarily for yoga. Another Game Developer Calls the Wii a Toy

Will Wright, creator of The Sims, Spore, and SimCity, recently compared the Wii with a toy, although unlike another game developer, Wright's comments were not pejorative.

Wright says simply that the Wii seems more like something that belongs in the "toy market" and that the games he's enjoyed on the Wii felt like toys.  And I can't really take that amiss, because The Sims itself is far more toy than game, so Wright clearly doesn't think that's a bad approach.

However, I do have a couple of points to make.  The first being, yes, the Wii console is a toy.  As is the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3.  All game consoles are toys.  Perhaps the issue is not that the Wii is being called a toy, but that this portrayal is being used to suggest that somehow, the other consoles are not toys.  I want to be very clear on this: anything that allows you to kill a dragon with a magical sword or shoot an alien with a disintegrator ray or train mythical beings to fight each other is a toy.  Gamers need to accept that.

What people really mean is, the Wii seems less grown up than the other systems.  It's family friendly but not as cool and slick.

Based on the intensity of the character on the Biggest Loser, this game was disappointing and somewhat boring, the only reason I but it higher than the Wii fit is because the workout is more intense and you could really burn some calories with this game.

This game utilizes the balance board, the controller and Nunchuck for a good workout it has 4 Workout types, strength training, cardio, weight loss, stretches. The game allows you to track your progress and save your stats.

I did notice that the controller response time was annoyingly delayed and some of the instructions were not very clear so it was difficult at times getting my on screen character to move or replicate my movements. I think there are a few bugs in the software coding for this game that were not worked out before release.

Some of the games did kinda look like the Wii Fit games repackaged, also the only motivation the game gave you would be Jillian saying "Give It All You Got" which after a while became more annoying that motivating.

I did like the back ground workout music which was motivating and you could select from a wide variety of music styles. The squat exercise workout was great and will make you sweat.

This game will defiantly burn some calories, but I think you will become bored with this game sooner than later.

I give the Wii Jillian Michaels Fitness Ultimatum 2009 game 3 out of 5 for workout and 2 out of 5 for fun. A total of 5 out of 10

3) Gold's Gym Cardio Workout

Ok, this is the first of the Wii Fitness games to focus more on Cardio workout that mimics the workout you will get in a gym, hence the name.

With this game you will get a real workout. The game utilizes the Wii's motion controls, the Balance board.

The highlight of this game is the TaeBo like boxing workout routine. This game seems to get the principle of running in place more accurately than the previous game. The sit-ups and jumping rope will give you a great workout. The Cardi Gold's Gym Workout game keeps great record of your calorie burn and fitness progress, and will automatically increase the difficulty and intensity of your workout to suit.

So overall this is more responsive and offer non stop action for a great workout, the points system is great for motivation so I will give the Wii Gold's Gym Cardio Workout game 3 ½ out of 5 for workout and 3 out of 5 for fun. A total of 6 1/2 out of 10.
