Nintendo Wii Vs Playstation 3 - A Genuine Combat

Nintendo Wii and Playstation 3 are the top-notch gaming consoles commanding the market. However, knowing the difference of Nintendo Wii Vs Playstation 3 gives clarity about each gaming console and its features.

Hardware - Nintendo Wii has a 729 MHz broadway processor with system memory of 88 MB memory, while the internal flash memory is 512 MB. This system outputs video in 480p definition, but the gamers need to purchase SD cards for surplus storage. The hardware is less powerful and hence is less priced, but the motion controller has made the system eminent from its competitors. PlayStation 3 has a multi-core cell processor as the main CPU. The internal memory is 512 MB and this is divided between the graphics engine and the system equally. The new version of PS3 is slim and has an internal hard drive of 120 GB. This system can output video in high definition.

Features - Nintendo Wii is prominent for it motion controller feature as this feature allows the gamers to have a perfect control over the game and its movements than pressing buttons. PS3 has controllers with simple tilt sensors, and the control range is not identical to the Wii remote. The huge library of games and its remote has increased the demand of this game console. Playstation 3 has built-in Bluetooth and offers the ability to play Blu-Rays and DVDs. PS3 has more horsepower and graphics than Wii to make it more attractive. Nintendo Wii allows playing GameCube games, while PS3 slim cannot play Playstation 2 and can allow its gamers to play only games for PlayStation 3 model. However, both the systems are featured with WiFi support.

Games - Rock Band, Madden NFL and Lego Star Wars are released in both gaming systems, but the Wii versions have simple graphics and very few features owing to the less powerful CPU. PS3 has exclusive games such as Metal Gear Solid IV, Killzone 2, Uncharted and LittleBigPlanet, and the Wii games that are exclusive include Super Mario Galaxy, Wii Sports, No More Heroes and Metroid Prime 3. However, Wii games are casual and family friendly, while Playstation 3 games aim for hardcore gaming audience.

Online - Nintendo Wii has online service that facilitates the gamers to access the virtual console and also facilitates them in purchasing as well as downloading the classic console games that includes Sonic the Hedgehog and Super Mario Bros. Wii gamers can enjoy their games to the core by exchanging their friend codes that have 12 digit numbers, but each console has a unique number. Playstation 3 allows the gamers to access a free online service, the Playstation network, so that the players can play online as well as purchase movies or games and as well download them to their hard drives.

Price - Nintendo Wii is considered to be a value console as it is available at $259.99 and this price tag is significantly lesser than Playstation 3 that costs $599.99. However, recently, PS3 slim is available at $299.99 and the gap between the two gaming consoles has narrowed.

Wii Fit Plus Vs EA Sports Active

I'll admit it - I was biased against Wii Fit. Since I got my Wii system a little over a year ago, I'd been hearing from everyone about how great the Wii Fit program was, but with one negative comment - it didn't provide workouts, just a bunch of activities you could do as often as you wished.

As someone who enjoys a good, structured workout, Wii Fit didn't seem like the right game for me. Then EA Sports Active was released, and I bought it for myself for Christmas. I started a 30-day challenge on December 27th. At first, it was tough. For the first two days, I couldn't walk up and down stairs without a good deal of pain, and I had started on the lowest intensity setting! After those initial days, however, I grew accustomed to the workouts and exercises, and I'm breezing through them now.

What I love about EA Active Sports is that it provides a workout for me, a list of usually 15 exercises that can take anywhere from 11-19 minutes to complete, and each workout is a little different from the last with some new moves added in each time around. The game comes with a resistance band for awesome strength training, plus it has plenty of cardio activities like running, boxing, tennis, volleyball, baseball, and more.

It stays interesting for me, and I can feel the burn as I'm working out! Plus, the game has a handy calorie-counter, so I know exactly how much I'm burning!

Then I heard about Wii Fit Plus, and how it is purportedly better than its predecessor. It sounded like fun, plus I'd been wanting that balance board for other games. So my husband bought the game as an early birthday present for me. I have to say it was a wise purchase.

Though Wii Fit Plus lacks the strict routine of EA Sports Active, it is a little more fun. It has a host of activities in different categories including Yoga, Strength Training, Aerobics (for cardio), and balancing games. It focuses a good deal on balance and posture, which is another big difference between the games. Like EA Sports Active, Wii Fit Plus counts your calories for you.

Some have complained about having to "weigh in" every day. You don't HAVE to weigh in by doing the "Body Test," though it's a good idea. The thing about Wii Fit Plus is that it's honest. If your BMI (Body Mass Index, basically your amount of body fat) places you in the obese category, it will tell you. Day after day. The thing is to use that as your motivator! Don't be discouraged by the truth; allow it to inspire you!

So I can't really say one is better than the other. To me, it's a matter of taste. If you love a good, strict workout with moves like bicep curls, lunges and squats, go for EA Sports Active. If you're the type who needs to be "tricked" into working out by doing fun activities or by competition, Wii Fit Plus may suite you better. Me, I'm enjoying both!

All The Reasons To Play Nintendo Wii

The Nintendo Wii is a fine system that has people of all ages playing it. From small kids to seniors in special homes, it seems like everyone is finding a way to enjoy it. Nintendo Wii came out as a system intended to get people moving in some way, and their ideas was a hit! It caught on and people have been playing it ever since.

Nintendo Wii first came out as a new system that allows you to move around while you`re playing. If you`re playing a driving game, you`re turning your arms and wrists to move the wheel or controller. The idea that you`re moving while playing a video game had many parents impressed. And not only were parents impressed but even adults with no kids wanted to try it.

There are many games that can be adult related. A sport disc comes with the game that allows you to bowl, play tennis, baseball and soccer. Many teens and adults absolutely love this feature and it is something that can be done alone or with friends. Even siblings are coming together to compete in the sport games.

With Nintendo Wii, you are able to create a character and personalize him/her, and this can be done for a few different people, which makes it perfect when more than one person will be using the system. And your character is who you will play with and save your games under. Personalizing a character is a fun concept for anyone who owns the console; it is a way to reflect yourself inside of a little box.

The Wii has many accessories that can be purchased for it. Tennis rackets, exercise mats and boards, surf boards, snow boards, steering wheels and even pistols. The accessories can be used with certain games that require specific items. For example a snowboarding game would go with the snowboard and the steering wheel would be for the car racing game. Even if accessories are not bought for certain games, the games can still be fun and work well with the remotes provided.

The exercise component is another reason why the Wii is so popular. Parents who have overweight kids might consider this type of system for the sports features, and activity seen in game play. There are even exercises programs run through games that can help a kid or adult whip into shape. This feature is popular with adults who want to get into shape the fun way and get some extra value from their system.

The Wii will come with a sensor bar that sits on the top of your TV. It senses where the remote is and uses it for game play. If your remote cannot see the sensor then it will not do anything. It also comes with a stand for the console, AC adapter, AV cable, Nunchuk, Wii remotes, and a sports disc. The Wii can hook up to the internet so you can surf on your TV, you can also buy games right on Nintendo`s website and download them right to your system.

The games available for Wii are truly amazing. Many of them are geared for families and kids. Even Jumpstart which is an educational software company has had some games developed for Nintendo Wii, so it is all about learning, getting moving and playing games that can bring the whole family together.

The Wii Fit Bundle Secret Unlocked - Your Guide to Finding a Wii Fit Bundle Today

The Wii Fit is the latest release for the Nintendo Wii to cause a huge stir among consumers. The game contains 4 different types of exercises for players to complete: Yoga, Balance Games, Aerobic Exercises, and Strength Training. These four main categories include a minimum of 10 simple games to complete in order to improve your scores and physical condition. Since most of these exercises require the balance board, Wii Fit Bundles are in high demand. The Wii Fit Bundle includes the game along with the Wii Balance Board.

Unless a pre-order of the Wii Fit Bundle was made, it's very difficult to locate the bundle in stores. Much like the Nintendo Wii Consoles, the bundles are sold out and very likely backordered for at least a few weeks. The demand for the game is understandable as it allows gamers from five years old to senior citizens to engage in activities that are not only fun, but also help get the blood flowing. Often times, the problem with exercising is that it feels too much like work. With the Wii Fit, you can have fun and exercise at the same time. With many people struggling to find time to exercise, the Wii Fit allows users to spend twenty to thirty minutes a day participating in engaging and enjoyable activities.

Unless you happen to run across a store that just got Wii Fit bundles in stock, it will likely be hard to start your training program for a few weeks. That's where online shopping comes in. Often times, online retailers will have a better chance of having a hot game or electronics item as compared with local retail stores.
If you're looking to pickup a Wii Fit Bundle, then check out http://wiiconsolesandmore.com. They have the best prices and selection on Nintendo Wii Consoles, Bundles, Games, and Accessories.

What's Next For The Nintendo Wii?

One of the interesting, new developments with the Nintendo Wii system is the Mii Channel. The Mii system allows you to create 3-D avatars on your Wii system. Nintendo is launching an online Mii Channel that will allow users to share these avatars and vote on them. Wii users love the ability to create avatar models of themselves, their friends, and families to take part in traditional video game roles. The increase in video games allowing users to manifest as their own Mii is also sure to increase. As users can save their Mii on their Wii system and use the same avatar to play different games, it is also hoped that this system will advance to allow the avatars to enter into other online virtual worlds. The future for this system has a lot of possibilities for video game players. An advanced Mii system will first have to incorporate better design tools and graphics for the avatars.

Users will want to spend their time to create avatars with all of the characteristics they need to enter and play the video games. These avatars should also be able to incorporate their own tools or gadgets from game to game, or platform to platform. Having the avatars able to be customized in this manner, different avatars with various configurations of features, accessories, spells, and so forth can be saved on the game box like the Wii. If the Mii avatar can be made to apply in a wider variety of game applications, including online MMORG environments, then it will be an interesting success.

The worry is that allowing avatars to carry gadgets from other systems in games that were not designed for them could completely change the game itself. But the advantages of having an avatar with all of the attributes, accessories, and additions one wants ready, before entering the game's environment to participate is clear. The ability to carry acquisitions found in one game by the avatar into another game is also interesting. A lot of new possibilities for video game development exist in the further expansion of the Mii avatar on the Nintendo Wii gaming system, and into other platforms.
